Tai Chi Workshop – Spring 2019
Date: Sunday 24th March 2019, 1:30-4:30pm
Venue: St. Margaret’s Hall, Coniston Rd., Hatherley, Cheltenham GL51 3NU.
A multi-section Tai Chi workshop focusing on different aspects of Tai Chi.
Section 1: 1:30-2:30pm. This will focus on Tai Chi basics and the early stages of the Tai Chi form (Laojia-Part 1). This is a great opportunity to develop and improve your Tai Chi fundamentals and is suitable for all levels including beginners.
Section 2: 2:30-3:30pm. This will focus on the Tai Chi form (Laojia) and will develop on Section 1 for less experienced students and explore the remaining parts of the form for more experienced students.
Section 3: 3:30-4:30pm. A series of taster sessions introducing other aspects of Tai Chi.
- Introduction to Xinjia (New Frame) form. Experience the wonderful spiraling and circling movements of this form – prior experience of Laojia (Old Frame) essential.
- Pushing Hands – learning to work with a partner to develop your centre, connectivity and rooting
- Tai Chi Sword – a chance to experience and learn flowing Tai Chi movements with a weapon (will be provided).
There will be several short breaks during the workshop for refreshments.
Cost – £24 – all 3 sections : £16 – any 2 sections : Minimum of 2 sections
